King & Benton is
proud of its reputation for being a good neighbour in the
communities where we do business. We have purchased and rehabilitated
a number of industrial sites, and work closely with provincial
Ministry of the Environment and municipal committees, to return
buildings to attractive business locations.
We work closely with
our environmental consulting team to assess a property's needs,
and develop a plan to implement the most efficient and thorough
cleanup process possible.
King & Benton has
had considerable success in remediation procedures and look
forward to a continuing relationship with local government
and members of the community.
Morrell Redevelopment Video
An abandoned factory posed a significant hazard in a residential community in Brantford, Ontario. The building thought to be abandoned for over 10 years, was in fact filled with stacks of old tires, piles of thick foam, drums of toxic chemicals, bales of shredded plastics, occupied by squaters and home to illegal activities, such as a "Chop Shop" in one section of the facility.
When King & Benton purchased the property and began the remediation process, many thought it was too ambitious to set the project timeline to just eighteen months. However King & Benton has a vision to turn one of the worst brownfield sites in Brantford, into a safe place of business. In less then eighteen months, King & Benton made that vision come to life.
This video shows the transformation of a dangerous brownfield site, into a thriving business complex. |
